Myles Boothroyd is a performing artist dedicated to promoting the versatility of the saxophone across traditional genre boundaries. He is alto saxophonist for the East End Quartet, an award-winning ensemble founded at the Eastman School of Music. East End has earned recognition for arranging works previously unpublished for saxophone quartet, and its members have collectively commissioned over twenty pieces by composers including Michael Djupstrom, Steven Bryant, Samuel Adler, and Graham Lynch.

He has earned top national prizes in the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) solo and chamber competitions, North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) solo competition, and the Chamber Musical Yellow Springs competition. He is a sought-after artist, clinician, and educator in the classical and jazz communities, providing numerous annual clinics at universities and public schools each year.

Along with maintaining an active performing and teaching career, Boothroyd distinguishes himself as a researcher and scholar.
